Windows driver update

I am a management college student; I use laptop for my college studies and projects. Most of the work I do on my laptop only. I have windows vista in my laptop. One day I was using my laptop to make a project and suddenly I started getting some error. I just restarted my laptop. I thought it must be a minor problem. But after restarting also I was having same problem. I was not able to complete my project which was very important for my studies. I did not understand what the problem was. I immediately called one of my friend who has good knowledge about computers. I told him what error I was getting and all. He told me that my windows has corrupted, and to fix the problem I should download windows driver update. I asked him for the site addresses where I will get virus free update for vista version windows. Then he recommended me to download from http://www.downloaddriverrobot.com. I logged on to the site and saw the updates for all types of windows. I instantly downloaded the updates for my laptop, and I fixed the problem. And as my friend said the updates were virus free.
